There are three sets of numbers that you can use in Yoruba, these numbers are the “Standard” Yoruba Numbers, the “Cardinal” Yorùbá Numbers and the “Ordinal” Yorùbá Numbers. For this class, we will focus on the “Standard” Yoruba Numbers.

 

PRONUNCIATION

Yorùbá language is a tonal language and because of this, the pronunciation of Yorùbá words is very important. The table below show how numbers 0 – 20 are pronounced phonetically. Enjoy!
